Barney Ashton Instructor
I guess I’ve always had a well-developed sense of
adventure. My father made sure of that from an early age.
As I get older I realise more and more how society is losing
that adventurous element. I Think adventure and managing
the risks involved is healthy and is a useful tool in the
rehabilitation of personal and social problems. Working with
kids, using adventure to help them re-engage at school is
one of the most satisfying things I’ve done.
My own adventurous activities include, climbing and
mountaineering, skiing, mountain biking, hot air ballooning
and crossing the road.
